It's Official!!!!!

I GOT THE STRAWHAT AUDITION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now to work even harder!
I haven't eaten anything mildly delicious or satisfying in the last 24 hours in a bid to lose 10 lbs in the next 6 weeks and 5 days. I've become addicted to moisturizers to make sure my skin looks decent. So far I am losing this battle...
In stepping on the scale, I have maintained my weight. I was mildly disappointed before I realized that the last week has included abusing my liver more times than I care to admit, pizza, cheese, really yummy food, and chocolate. None of this was productive in my bid to shed some weight. I'll take maintenence, thank you very much. That weigh in could have been disasterous.
Yesterday, I signed up for a year's subscription to Backstage magazine. I have already submitted myself for at least half a dozen shows/productions and have been notified to various auditions. This will be my year!
That said, ballet kicked my butt something fierce today. I took a nap for well over an hour and can already feel my muscles barking. Tomorrow morning will not be fun. I can feel it already. I'm so excited!
None of this is very fluid and I realize is more along the lines of train of thought. My next thought, dear readers, is about bed.
Goodnight!

Submissions

I have submitted myself to be the new host at QVC. They want hosting skills. I have retail and a crazy internship. I hope this is enough to warrant at least an interview...

Also, I just submitted myself for a project called Meanwhile. The casting claims that it's a feature film, but I'm not so sure. The description for Lori is: 22 year old aspiring actress, desperately poor, frightened, angry. But funny too.

I can do that.

Let's hope something comes of this.

No word from the Womens' Theater, so I'm going to assume that there was no part for them to offer.

Title : Santa, Elf, and Tour Manager for Macy's Santa National Tour
Category: Performer
Description :
Macy's Santa National Tour will be traveling to 25 cities this holiday season. We are looking for candidates for Tour Manager (2), Elves (4) and Santa (1). The Tour Manager will be responsible for all event logistics for the In Store Events, and will manage employee relations issues, the morale of the cast and logistical issues. Elves are the support staff for Santa at both the charity and In-Store events. Elves will work closely with Media Relations and Cause Marketing to act as spokespeople for the Santa National Tour. Santa is the primary holiday ambassador to the public and the center of the tour experience for Macy's. Santa ideally will have a natural beard. Salary plus per diem, and all travel expenses will be covered from 11/23-12/23.

I submitted myself in hopes of being an Elf. Being that I'm only 5'0," I figured I might have a legitimate chance...

Also, I registered with TheaterMAMA. My page has yet to be completely filled in and updated, but it's a start. I can do more tomorrow.

There's more!

I also got a call from a friend from the Happy Hour cast. He emailed me a copy of the play The Owl and The Pussycat and wants me to look it over. He's hoping to get the show up and running and wants me to play the lead opposite of him. My guess is that there's no pay, but I'm excited at the prospect of creating again.

I might have some other things in the works, but it's entirely too early to post about it... Keep your eyes peeled.

Z-Rock

This is what I've applied for. I love Z-Rock and working on the show is always a good time. Cross your fingers that I get this!

Synopsis We are booking featured background for a variety of specific featured roles for the hit IFC Series "Z Rock", now in it's second season. The premise of the show is similar to HBO's "Entourage", except this is a scripted comedy series that chronicles the life of a New York Rock Band who plays out in clubs at night to their hip young adult fan base, but plays kids parties during the day to supplement their income. The show will feature CELEBRITY GUEST STARS on a regular basis, and sometimes these celebrity guest stars will be noted in advance, and sometimes there will be a surprise Celebrity guests as well. The featured background will in most cases be booked directly from pics submitted electronically and most people will only be booked in a specific role for one day, but there are some 2 day bookings, and production might ask us to bring certain talent back for future shoot dates as well. Go to: IFC.com/zrock for more info about the show and clips from last season!

This Crow Has No Wings

I Gotta Crow crashed and burned (horribly) at the Millie audition. Needless to say, I didn't get the part and I was so, so upset about it. I made the first cut and typed in, which was great. However, I feel like I gave the audition away. Casting was very happy to see me when I first came in and while I sang well, they looked at me like I had 4 heads. Not good.

On a happier note, I just applied to do a safe sex promo for MTV. It'll be a 2 hour publicity stunt in Times Square. Not much money, but it'll be nice to do something proactive. Here's the casting call:

MTV Networks is seeking MODELS to participate in a press stunt where they will wear underwear (boy shorts/boxers and tank) in Times Square in support of MTV's safe sex campaign. The press stunt will be for two hours and will be one day only.

Yeah, OK, so I'm not a model nor am I close, but whatever. It seems to be a good cause and I'm all for it.

Here's to hoping...
